Town Marshal Ferndale  badge, sterling silver, hand engraved with hard fired black enamel, circa 1893.  Ferndale was incorporated as a Town in 1893.  The population listed in the census of 1900 was 846.  In 1907 the Town Marshal was I. B. Barnes.
