Pikes Peak Highway Patrol badge #8
Note from Al Mize, As close as I can determine, the Pikes Peak Highway
Patrol was organized in 1936 and was active until 1952 (?) They got their police authority to take care of the 19 mile highway which was and still is a toll road from the Sheriff of the county and the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Sometime in the 1950â€s the U.S. Forest Service took over and it is now named the Pikes Peak Highway Rangers

The 5th issue Boston, Mass. badge was issued Oct. 1, 1870 and used until 1879.


James McDonald served as sheriff of Windsor County, VT and wore this sterling silver fancy shield. Hard fired black enamel lettering stands out on this Braxmar made shield.

The 1st issue So. Danvers badge is circa 1855 to 1886. The city changed their name to Peabody.
