George L. Palmer was a Chico Policeman appointed in 1911.  He was born on the 8th of January 1878 in Browns Valley Yuba County, CA and died in Butte County, CA on September 7, 1913 of Typhoid.  He married Martha I. Messinger on February 1, 1903 in Chico.
