 14k gold badge presented to newly elected Sheriff John A. Miller May 19, 1935.  He was in office 1935-1943.   Hallmarked Jones 14k.  Center stone is 1/2 carat.   Smaller stones are all 1/10 and the jeweler states they are unusally high quality.  Total  1.2 carats.  SKU9555

John Adolph Miller was born September 15, 1893 in Chicago but moved with his family before his first birthday.  Miller was known for his trick shooting.  After retiring he took the Sheriff’s posse around the world.  They rode at the statehood dedication in Alaska, led the Honolulu parade in the Punchbowl Crater and rode in New Orleans, Rio de Janeiro, presidential inaugurations, Rose Bowl parades and many other events.    He died March 11, 1982.
