  Merritt Wells Thomas was born January 27, 1894 in Bingham Utah.  In 1900 his family moved to San Francisco and then in 1910  to Mt. Bullion Mariposa County.  I found his election notice in the Mariposa Gazette in November 1922.  I also found State records that show him as Constable of Mariposa Co. Township No. 3 Mt. Bullion in 1924, 1928, 1938 and 1942.  Below is a picture of the return address of an envelope for Constable Merritt Thomas that was obtained from his family along with his badge.  SKU6255
