Maui Badges
During WWII after the attack on Pearl Harbor many Hawaiian police officers volunteered to serve in the armed forces. Volunteers were appointed to serve as Civil Defense Police under the newly enacted Martial Law.
Armbands were worn by the Porvisional Police on Maui.
The Provisional Government of Hawaii was proclaimed after the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom on January 17, 1893, by the 13 member Committee of Safety. It replaced te Kingdom of Hawaii after the overthrow of Queen Lili’uokalani.
