Paterson Mayor John Hinchliffe’s badge for the years 1897-1898. A beautifully made work of art featuring a center enameled seal, surrounded by a belt riing design with the words Mayor City of Paterson and the flap of the belt with the initials N. J. at the bottom. The laurel leafs and berries are executed in green gold, and the top is adorned with a rose gold American Eagle sitting upon a yellow gold banner “1897 John Hinchliffe 1898”.
